Gig-Arts is a dynamic free one-day creative enterprise event held at schools, art colleges and universities.
It is designed to help students of the visual arts, music and drama to develop business and communication skills and 'give back' to their local community.
Participants attend an action-packed day of enterprise workshops where they learn about branding, the media, negotiating and planning. In the afternoon participants have the opportunity to work in teams, to create a one-off performance in front of a live audience.
In exchange for their day of gaining and gigging, participants give one-day of self-managed time and talent to help their local community.
Participants are invited to record their day of giving in whatever way they wish (video, blogs twitter), this in turn can inspire others to be part of the Gig-Arts Giving network.
