Matthew Wurr MA RCA

Matthew Wurr studied graphic design at Kingston Art College and graduated from the Royal College of Art with a masters in 1979.
After initially working in Partnership with his brother in a Graphic Design firm - Wurr & Wurr, he made a move from 2 dimensions to 3D, setting up the Wurr Company Ltd - advertising, modelmakers and set builders, specialising in Creative Design, special effects and sculptural work, they became one of the premier model firms in the UK and Europe, working with many of the most renowned photographers and art directors in the world. In 1999, a new company, Matthew Wurr and Co and new premises were created. Since then, the emphasis has been on one off sculptures and limited edition pieces, large and small scale for exterior and interior display for private and business clients.
Matthew now specialises in the design and production of 'Representational' images produced in stone, carved wood, bronze aluminium, steel and bonded marble. Also highly finished smaller pieces in crystal resin and hallmarked precious metals.
In 2003 working with Abbie Cooke and her international art agency, Matthew became Britain's largest artist supplier of artwork to the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship.
