Ursula Pfister is a Swiss artist resident in London since the 1980s. She studied Fine Art at the London Guildhall University graduating in 1997 and completing a postgraduate certificate in 2001. She has exhibited in London and New Zealand and was diagnosed in 2000 with Multiple Sclerosis.
Ursula says: "My Wallscapes are a series of paintings using clay, fabric and paint, investigating balance and harmony between textures, geometric shapes and light. They are inspired by landscapes and architecture, comparing cultures and traditions. Motifs emerge from textures by building up and taking away layers letting areas of earlier work show through."
