Veronica Olesiuk
Textile Artist
Veronica is currently studying for a B.A in Textiles (Hons) at Manchester Metropolitan University. Veronica says: "I have experienced a variety of textiles skills on the course and have become fascinated by the possibilities of print. I am particularity interested in exploring patterns for Interior design with a focus on textiles objects in every day user such as furnishing, curtains, bedspreads and shopping bags. My inspiration is from patterns, which I see and photograph from nature, but this is now leading me to abstract applications. I am profoundly deaf from birth. I feel that my deafness has something do with my artistic character."
Since joining Gig-Arts Artists in 2008, Veronica exhibited at BT Wholesale's corporate offices in London in January 2009 which led to her being featured in the BBC 'See Hear' television programme.
