Benefits
"It's hard for young artists to earn a living out of their talent. We help them to identify what they do well, and how to present themselves in a very competitive market. We provide answers to popular questions such as: "How am I going to differentiate myself?" and "How am I going to be the one that gets the contract?" Abbie Cooke, Co-Founder, Gig-Arts

The whole event has been specifically designed for creative individuals who want to earn a living from their talent and who want to make a difference in their local community. Each enterprise session is academically underpinned and there is a balance between cognitive and experiential learning. At the improvised final show, the participants 'feel the fear and do it anyway.' The results are highly creative and inspire participants with the courage and conviction to follow through with their community challenge.

The key benefits include

Creativity: It's an amazing mix of artists and musicians all together working in teams where the creative collaborations produce inspiring results.

Collaboration: To get ahead in business, we need to work together. Participants develop their skills in teamwork, leadership, time management, event organisation and social responsibility.

Community Enterprise: The event is full of practical advice, artistic enterprise games and inspiration. A highlight of the programme is the action-learning experience of 'giving back' to the community which enables participants to gain valuable experience of turning their ideas into action.

Confidence: Above all, participants leave the Gig-Arts Giving event brimming with confidence and a sense of achievement. They are fuelled and enthused by the experience they are empowered to take on new commercial projects and assert themselves at interviews.
