Gig-Arts Giving
At Gig-Arts we want to help young people in the creative industries to make a living from their talent. We also want to help them experience the power and pleasure of helping other people, by taking responsibility and making a difference. And so we've created Gig-Arts Giving.

Gig-Arts Giving is a free 3-day creative enterprise event held at schools, art colleges and universities.

It is designed to help young artists, musicians and actors (anyone who knows they're creatively talented) to develop business and communication skills and 'give back' to their local community.

Participants (aged 14 to 24) attend two action-packed days of enterprise workshops where they learn about branding, the media, negotiating and planning. On the third day they work in teams to put on a stage show which is performed in front of a live audience.

As a requirement of this free event, participants have 6 months to 'give back' to their local community by maybe giving a painting to a hospital or teaching music in a school. They are asked to write a short report on their community experiences and prizes are awarded.

Getting Involved
Artists and Musicians
If you're young and talented and want to participate, ask your local school or college to host a Gig-Arts Giving event.

Schools and Colleges
If you're a school, college or university and you want to host a Gig-Arts Giving event, you simply need to provide your facilities: We need the use of your drama studio for 3 days and a stage for the performance.

Corporate sponsors and volunteers
If you're a business and your staff want to volunteer to assist the Gig-Arts Giving event, there are many exciting ways to get involved.
